Finance Department
The City of Lansing Finance Department covers a wide range of responsibilities and is made up of several divisions including the Accounting and Budget, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, and Retirement offices.
Fire Department
The Lansing Fire Department is a state of the art provider of fire protection, emergency medical, hazardous materials and technical rescue services.
Human Relations & Community Services
The Human Relations and Community Services Department pursues City Charter and Ordinance mandates to address human services needs in the Lansing area and help cultivate a community climate of diversity, equity and nondiscrimination.
Human Resources
The Department of Human Resources provides direct assistance to City of Lansing employees, the community and support where necessary to the Mayor and all City Departments in mutual interest of the city and its residents.
Information Technology
The Information Technology (IT) Department assists the City of Lansing both internally and externally by providing administrative support, network services, programming & systems management and telecommunications support.
Lansing Public Media Center
City TV broadcasts programs on a wide variety of topics pertaining to the City of Lansing, as well as the weekly live broadcasts of the regular business meeting of the Lansing City Council.

Neighborhoods, Arts, & Citizen Engagement
The Department of Neighborhoods and Citizen Engagement's (DNCE) role in the city is to support neighborhoods by convening community dialogues, delivering capacity building trainings, and connecting civic organizations to resources. The DNCE also facilitates the creation of organizations and helps them build capacity so that they can advocate for the changes and developments they wish to see in their neighborhoods.
