Capital Area: Take Back Meds

Capital Area Take-Back Meds
Since specific items are designated to be thrown away in recycling carts, the Capital Area Take Back Meds program provides the public with a proper and alternative way to dispose unwanted household medications by:

  • Taking controlled medications to drop boxes located at local law enforcement agencies
  • Taking non-controlled medications to participating pharmacies
To find out locations of participating pharmacies, participating law enforcement agencies, and what medications are considered controlled and non-controlled, visit the Take Back Meds website.
