Public Art for Communities 2020 – Reutter Park Request for Proposals
Submission Deadline: 5:00pm Friday, August 14
The City of Lansing Parks and Recreation Department announces a request for proposals (RFP) for a new public art project, funded by the Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) Public Art for Communities 2020 grant program with support from the PNC Foundation. Additional funding is provided by the Lansing Brownfield Redevelopment Authority (LBRA).
Due to the success of previous public art projects in Lansing, the city sees great value in continuing to invest in public art pieces as a placemaking tool to add to the community’s enjoyment of public spaces. Looking to the future, Reutter Park is the ideal location for a transformative public art piece because of its ability to significantly impact the way thousands of community members experience downtown Lansing. The selected art piece will be installed at the northeast corner of Reutter Park in downtown Lansing.
