NOTICE:Due to the State of Emergency in Lansing in response to the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic. The City of Lansing’s Treasury and Income Tax Office will be closed starting Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Treasury and Income Tax Staff are working remotely during the State of Emergency.
TAX FILING DEADLINE UPDATE: The City of Lansing income tax return filing deadline has changed to align with the IRS Federal, and State of Michigan tax filing deadlines.
The City of Lansing tax return deadline has moved from April 30, 2020 to July 31, 2020.
EXISTING PAYMENT PLANS: All City of Lansing income tax payment plans that were due on April 15, 2020, are now due May 15, 2020. Payment Plan due dates will be reviewed on a monthly basis during the COVID-19 pandemic.
PAYMENTS: Income tax payments can be made
ONLINE through the Treasury’s Point and Pay system (you MUST have your file number OR the Tax Payers full name, last 4 digits of the Tax Payers social security number, and contact phone number)

DROPPED OFF at the Treasury and Income Tax repository located on the Capitol Avenue side of City Hall

Please note that property taxes for 2019 are considered delinquent now and can only be made at the Ingham County Treasurer’s office in Mason, Michigan.
