HAWK Signals

The High-Intensity Activated Crosswalk (HAWK) signal provides protected pedestrian crossing as a way to increase safety. It is used only for pedestrian crossing, not traffic on side streets.

Drivers will be able to continue through any intersection with a HAWK signal without stopping until the button is activated.

Locations along South Lansing Pathway:
  • Pennsylvania Avenue
  • Cedar Street (operational)
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (operational)
