Budget Information


The fourth Monday of March, the Mayor presents a proposed budget ("Executive Recommendation") to the City Council for the fiscal year that begins that July. The City Council deliberates on the budget recommendation and adopts a budget for the ensuing year no later than the third Monday in May.

State of Michigan Pension and Retiree Healthcare Reports (Form 5572)



Michigan's Public Act 202 of 2017 requires additional reporting of pension and retiree healthcare liabilities. The City of Lansing has a corrective action plan filed with the Michigan Department of Treasury to address its current liabilities.
