    Allen Farmers Market is a thriving weekly market that provides our neighborhood with access to fresh produce and other delicious products, a convivial atmosphere to visit with neighbors, and opportunities to engage with each other and share diverse resources and perspectives. Live music from 5 – 6 pm. Credit/debit, EBT (plus Double Up Food Bucks), and cash are accepted. Find the Market year round, located at 1629 E Kalamazoo, either inside the Allen Market Place building from November through early May, or outside in the parking lot on the corner of Kalamazoo and Allen Streets from mid-May through October. Parking is available off of Shepard Street.

Neighborhood and Citizen Engagement

  1. City of Lansing - Citizen's Academy

    October 24, 2018, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ Meeting locations vary each session.

    The City of Lansing's Citizen's Academy is a 10 week civic engagement course. Participants will meet weekly for 2 hours on Wednesday evenings beginning Wednesday, September 5, 2018, from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm. No class ession will be held October 31st. Group tours will include City Hall, BWL grid control room, and other City facilities. Presentations will be given by local City officials and department directors and staff. A light meal will be served each week. Citizen's Academy provides an opportunity for City of Lansing residents to learn more about the role the City plays in their everyday lives with a behind the scenes look at local government.
