The City of Lansing passed Emergency Ordinance 1269, requiring compliance with public health orders, during last night’s City Council meeting. The ordinance will go into effect immediately and will remain in place for sixty days.
Under the new ordinance, any person who violates a public health order issued by the State of Michigan, the Ingham County Health Department or the Mid-Michigan District Health Department could be charged with a misdemeanor or municipal civil infraction.
